District del Sol is located on the West Side of St. Paul (which is actually south of downtown).  It is bordered by the Mississippi River on three Sides and the West Side gets its name because the neighborhood is the only part of St. Paul on the west side of the Mississippi River. 

District del Sol is the main commercial corridor on the West Side.  It is approximately one mile long and features an exciting mix of restaurants, clothing stores, specialty shops and public art.  The district hosts the city’s oldest Mexican restaurant and hosts one of the largest Cinco de Mayo Fiestas in the United States.  District del Sol is known as one of St. Paul's most diverse and spiciest neighborhoods!
